Merchandise the SKU, not a vague category
A plain work pant, a cargo trouser and a denim jean are three products. Mixing them into one “trouser” quote makes the next order ambiguous. The catalogue keeps them apart on purpose, even when they share a photograph family. The approved sample, not the website image, is the standard.
Jackets are the same. A charcoal work jacket, a softshell, a fleece and a winter parka do not share a cloth cost. Their slabs are editable separately.
Replenishment
When a wholesaler’s customer reorders, the factory should not reopen the design. The sealed sample, the shade and the size chart do that job. New colours are new lab dips, not surprises inside an existing PO.
Use the quantity guide when you plan the season. Moving from 100 to 500 pieces changes the indicative unit cost more reliably than negotiating a slogan.
